**Edited to add: GUESS WHAT?! Andrea from The Train to Crazy included this little skirt in her top 10 Make It Wear It Women's Fashion Contest!!!! Holy Cow!!!!! I feel so honored! And guess what else?! YOU can vote for your favorite!!! :) So, head over there now and vote!!**
I started this skirt last June. Yeah. A LOOONG time ago. It's been sitting in my "in progress" pile for a while. I hit a design wall and couldn't decide whether I wanted to make it a bubble hem or just a regular straight hem. Does that ever happen to you? You just can't make your mind so you don't? haha.
So, it sat... and sat... and sat.. Until yesterday, when I decided I just wanted to finish it and would do a regular hem to get it off my table.
Here's it's big debut!
You might recognize the fabric. It's from the vintage sheet that I used to make the flower on my flower cuff. I LOVE the fabric and I think that this skirt shows it off nicely.
Isn't the crocheted lace pretty? I think it it the perfect complement to the fabric. It adds to it's vintage appeal. :) NOTE: I DID NOT crochet that lace. It's from Joann's.
I think I need this shirt:
And this sweater:
To complete the outfit. (Both from Anthropolgie.) What do you think?
Pretty no? Design wise it's just a long rectangle with an elasticized waist. Easy Peasy. :)
I'll be linking this project to the loverly linky parties on my side bar.
Oh and another side note. I just discovered the wonders of Pioneer Woman's Actions. I'll be posting on this soon. :)

SO lovely!! I love the fabric and the touch of lace. My hubby just bought me a skirt from Anthro for Christmas, picked it out all by himself, and it has a touch of lace at the bottom similar to yours and I just LOVE it!

I have to tell you I love the skirt fabric...if you check out my blog ( http://jackieandtina.blogspot.com/2010/12/dress-refashion.html) you will see I used this fabric (sheet) too to make a curtain for my closet. I later made a pillow to match for my bed. I WISH i had more. I absolutely love it! Wish i could find more of these sheets and glad to know I am not the only sheet user out there
